Falu Vapen Falu Facade is a full-matte, completely diffusion-open alkyd oil emulsion that both looks and works like a mud paint/red paint.

Description

Falu Vapen Falu Facade is a full-matte, completely diffusion-open alkyd oil emulsion that both looks and works like a mud paint/red paint.Falu Facade is available in over 200 different approved colors, many of which are classic traditional colors such as Faluröd, Light Red, Faluvit, Black, Manor Yellow, Light Gray and many more. Approved colors are broken from A-base #561 or C-base #560. Falu Facade can be applied to all clean wood, pressure-impregnated wood and most other substrates where mud paint normally does not stick. Faluvit color should not be applied to pressure-impregnated wood. See more about #554. You can also paint Falu Fasad on previously red painted surfaces, which means you can change the system and extend your repainting interval. Falu Fasad has a recommended repainting interval of 8-13 years but lasts even longer, for example, on the north side of the house. Repeated treatment extends the repainting interval. Falu Fasad provides more painted m² compared to a slurry paint/red paint. The spreading capacity is 40-60 m² per 10 liters depending on how chipped the substrate is. This is important to know when you compare the "annual square meter price" with a slurry paint/red paint.

Usage:

Everything you know about painting Rödfärg also applies to Falu Fasad. Remove mold if necessary. Paint two coats when painting new, where you dilute the first coat with about 10% water. Paint one coat when repainting. Paint thinly, always paint wet on wet and the entire length of the board and brush the paint well in thin layers.

When repainting:

Wire brush away anything that is loose such as pigment and gray wood, scrape thick layers of paint to a complete, clean and solid surface. After brushing and scraping, the wall should be swept with a soft brush or similar. When changing quality, it is important that the old paint is brushed off. When changing color, the wall should be basically wood-free to avoid future penetration.
